David Roberts, Candidate for Board of Assessment Appeals

With over four decades of experience in retail supermarket management, I’ve had the privilege of overseeing operations for prominent large chain stores across Connecticut. I dedicated eight years of my career to Shaws in Clinton, which later transformed into Shop Rite. You might even recall me as the friendly face who once bagged your groceries.

In 2021, I embarked on a mid-life career change, stepping into the world of marine wholesale by becoming the Connecticut sales representative for a prominent company. My role involves servicing numerous local marinas, combining my passion for sales and the maritime industry.
Beyond my professional journey, I’m an active member of the Knights of Columbus and a devoted parishioner at Saint Mary’s right here in Clinton. As a registered Conservative Catholic, I’m driven by my desire to serve and support others in any way I can.

My connection to Clinton began in 2007 when I met my beloved wife, Melanie, and her daughter, Sarah, a junior at the University of Mississippi. Our family also includes our 12-year-old son, David, a seventh grader at Elliot, who shares my enthusiasm for fishing. When we’re not busy tracking down fish from our boat in Long Island Sound, we often enjoy quality time fishing at Clinton Beach.
