Carol Walter
Candidate For Town Council

Carol Walter, Candidate for Town Council

I am very proud to say that I have served the Town of Clinton and represented the Republican Town Committee as both Selectman and Council member since 2009. I understand and feel the desires of Clinton’s ‘Everyman’ and work every day to implement those goals and ideals. I exemplify conservatism in every issue before our Council, and I am honored to be running for Town Council again this year.

While born in Branford, I have lived in Clinton since 1978. This gives me a real feel for the Town, who we are, and where we are going. I share your vision for Clinton’s future while retaining the flavor of the past. I will never overlook Clinton’s many gifts and will always work to maintain the atmosphere that makes Town unique.

I moved here when I married in 1978 and raised my family here. My children are graduates of the Clinton school system and make their homes here. Clinton is Home in every sense of the word. I am very proud that my granddaughter represents the fifth generation of Walters in Clinton. To say we care about this Town is an understatement. My family is entirely self-employed here, which keeps me focused on ensuring every taxed dollar is utilized intelligently. The feeling of family in this Town is both sentimental and very real.

Clinton offers many gifts, and I take advantage of most of them- I am an avid hiker on our wooded trails with my retired racing Greyhound Reilly, a beachgoer with my beautiful granddaughter Maris, a kayaker, a fisherman, a crabber, and a recreational biker. When not occupied with these hobbies, I am an avid crafter. My favorite crafts are rug hooking, knitting, punch needles, and watercolors.

I look forward to a continued partnership with the Republican team of Chris Aniskovich and Dennis Donovan to keep Clinton moving forward in the best possible way.
